ALICIA M. TORRES specializes in appellate advocacy and complex commercial litigation support. She has utilized her significant research and writing abilities to assist in the effective representation of the Firm’s clients both before and during litigation. She has presented appeals in both state and federal courts. Ms. Torres was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1996 and is also a member of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, the Dade County Bar Association, and the Cuban-American Bar Association.

Ms. Torres was born in Miami, Florida, and is fluent in Spanish. She graduated from Georgetown University in 1991, where she earned a Bachelors in History. She received her Juris Doctor from Florida State University in 1996, with honors. While in law school, she served as a Notes & Comments Editor of the Florida State University Law Review and was a recipient of the prestigious Book Awards for Trial Practice and Transactional Legal Spanish.
