David E. Chacin was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2005. He has also been admitted to the Michigan Bar (2003), the U.S. Federal Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Mr. Chacin was born in Madrid, Spain, and lived in Venezuela for many years. He is fluent in Spanish and proficient in Italian. In 1999, Mr. Chacin graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he obtained a B.A. in Political Science, with High Distinction. In 2003, Mr. Chacin graduated Cum Laude from Michigan State University College of Law, with a concentration in International and Comparative Law. While in law school, Mr. Chacin was an associate for the Journal of International Law, a member of the Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Team, and a recipient of the Jurisprudence Achievement Award in International Trade Law. Mr. Chacin also attended the William and Mary School of Law, Madrid Study Abroad Program.
